The Fund has the following departments / sections; Pensions Administration, Properties Management, Finance, Information Technology, Corporate Services, Internal Audit and Procurement.

Pensions Administration

Pensions administration is at the core of the Fund’s service delivery objectives and it involves the collection of monthly pension contributions from member Local Authorities, the processing of exit benefits and the payment of monthly pensions to pensioners and their dependants.

Property Management

The Property Department is responsible the letting and maintenance of Fund’s properties. The key focus of the department is to ensure that all managed properties retain investment value.

Finance

The department’s efforts are aimed at ensuring that the Fund’s financial objectives are achieved through: overseeing the financial reporting function, financial and investment strategy formulation, the coordination and preparation of the Fund’s budgetary process, implementation and monitoring thereof.

Information Technology

The Information Technology(IT) department is responsible for the computerisation of the fund, maintenance of the fund’s hardware and software. IT is a critical tool in the fund considering the data intensive nature of the fund’s business.

Corporate Services

The Fund’s Corporate services includes the CEO’s Office, the Internal Audit and Human Resources sections. The internal Audit section oversees the internal control procedures compliance and risk management processes within the Fund. The Human Resources section oversees staff welfare issues and includes the coordination of staff performance appraisals, training and development.

Internal Audit

The Internal Audit Department is responsible for the provision of independent assurance and advice to the board and management on matters relating to governance, risk management and the Fund`s internal controls
